The Society celebrated its centenary year in 2009. A narrowboat trip along Coventry Canal was organised to commemorate the occasion. The narrowboat left Swan Lane Marina on the morning of Saturday 20th June, to head north along the canal.
A stop was made at Hawkesbury Junction, for members to wander along the towpath.

After re-embarking, the narrowboat continued towards Nuneaton, while members enjoyed soup and a buffet lunch, before returning the way it came.
Back at the marina, a short speech was given by the president Jane Mitchell, to thank Ken Thompson for all his hard work in organising the trip.
